This policy explains what information we collect when you visit this site or buy a ticket to Benny Page & Doktor — Sydney, what we do with it, and what control you have over it. We've written it in plain English rather than legalese, and we've named the actual tools we use rather than describing them vaguely.
01 Who we are
This site and the Event are run by Pat Ordenes (ABN 54 198 566 259), based in Australia. In this policy, "we" and "us" means that. You can reach us any time at info@bennypage.au.
We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
02 What we collect
When you just visit the site
You don't have to give us anything to browse. There's no sign-up, no account, and no contact form. But like almost every website, some information is collected automatically by the tools listed in clause 03 — typically your IP address, browser and device type, approximate location (usually city-level, worked out from your IP), which pages you looked at, how long you stayed, and how you got here.
When you buy a ticket
Ticket sales are handled by ThriveCart, not by this website. You'll leave this site to complete your purchase. ThriveCart collects your name, email address and payment details, and passes us your name, email and order details so we can issue your ticket and contact you about the Event.
We never see or store your full card number. Payment details go directly to the payment processor.
When you email us
We keep the message and your email address so we can reply and keep a record of the conversation.
03 Cookies and tracking — exactly what's running
Here is every third-party tool on this site, what it does, and who it belongs to. Nothing else is running.

The Meta Pixel and Microsoft Clarity load when the page opens. The Instagram embeds load only when you scroll near them. These legal pages carry no tracking at all.
04 How we use your information
- To issue your ticket and get you into the Event.
- To contact you about the Event — including if anything changes, moves or is cancelled.
- To answer your emails.
- To measure how our advertising is performing and improve it.
- To understand how people use this page so we can make it better.
- To send you marketing about future shows, but only if you've opted in.
We don't sell your personal information. We never have and we don't intend to.
05 Who we share it with
- Our service providers — the companies in the table above, plus our email provider, so they can do the job we've engaged them for.
- The venue — Kings Cross Hotel, where we need to share guest list or entry information.
- Law enforcement or regulators — only where we're legally required to.
Overseas disclosure. Several of these providers are based outside Australia, mainly in the United States and Ireland. That means your information may be stored or processed overseas, where privacy laws differ from Australian law. We only use established providers with published privacy commitments, but we can't control their operations.
06 How long we keep it
- Ticket and order records — kept for at least five years, as required for tax and business records.
- Marketing list — kept until you unsubscribe.
- Emails you send us — kept while they're relevant, then deleted.
- Analytics and advertising data — held by Meta and Microsoft under their own retention policies. Microsoft Clarity data is generally retained for around a year.
Your choices
07 How to opt out
You don't have to accept any of the tracking described above. Here's how to switch it off:
- Block cookies in your browser. Every major browser lets you block third-party cookies entirely, which stops most of this.
- Use a tracker blocker. Browsers like Firefox, Brave and Safari block much of this by default.
- Meta advertising. Adjust what Meta can use in your Facebook or Instagram ad settings, under Ad Preferences.
- Microsoft Clarity. Clarity honours your browser's "Do Not Track" and Global Privacy Control settings — turn either on and it won't record you.
- Marketing emails. Every email we send has an unsubscribe link. One click, done.
Opting out of tracking won't stop you buying a ticket or affect anything about the Event.
08 Your rights
- Ask what we hold. Email us and we'll tell you what personal information we have about you.
- Correct it. If something's wrong, tell us and we'll fix it.
- Ask us to delete it. We'll delete what we're not legally required to keep.
- Complain. If you think we've mishandled your information, email us first and we'll try to sort it out. If you're not satisfied, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.
We'll respond to any request within 30 days. There's no charge.
09 Visitors from the UK and Europe
Benny Page and Doktor are a UK act, so we expect visitors from the UK and Europe. If you're in the UK or EEA, the UK GDPR and EU GDPR give you additional rights — including the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or port your data, and to object to processing.
You should know that the analytics and advertising tools described in clause 03 load when the page opens, before you've been asked for consent. If you'd rather they didn't run, block cookies before visiting or use the opt-outs in clause 07. To exercise any GDPR right, email us and we'll act on it.
10 Security
We take reasonable steps to protect the information we hold — limiting who can access it, and relying on established providers who maintain their own security standards. But no method of transmitting or storing data online is completely secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security.
11 Children
This is a strictly over-18s event and this site isn't directed at children. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe we have, email us and we'll delete it.
12 Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always the one on this page, and the date at the top tells you when it last changed.
